La Paz is the capital city of Bolivia. It is situated 68 kilometres south east of Lake Titicaca at between 3,250 and 4,100 metres in the central west of the country and has a population of around 1.2 million. La Paz is Bolivia's largest city and is the worlds highest capital city. Its industries are chiefly food processing and the manufacture of consumer goods.
