St. John's is the capital city of the islands of Antigua and Barbuda. It is situated on the north west coast of the island of Antigua and has a population of around 40,000. Its economy is based on tourism and its port activities which include the handling of sugar, cotton, foodstuffs, machinery, and lumber.
