Nuku'Alofa is the capital city of Tonga. It is situated on the northern shore of Tongatapu Island, in the southern Pacific Ocean and has a population of approximately 22,000.  The city's economy is based on tourism and the export of copra, bananas, and vanilla and the sale of traditional handicrafts from the Malae Market.
