What to wear

In New Caledonia due to the tropical climate light clothing such as shorts, tee shirts and sandals are recommended. Being in the tropics, it is always advisable to have a rain coat handy. A jacket or jumper may be required at night when the temperature drops. Some restaurants and night spots require the wearing of more formal wear (eg jacket,tie)

International visitors to New Caledonia are required to be in possession of a valid passport and may require a visa depending on country of origin. Visas are available from French Embassies and Consulates around the world.
