	Temperatures in Summer can reach as high as 35ºC and in winter as low as 19ºC The wettest months of the year are between December and April.

Currency	The Australian Dollar is the legal tender of Nauru. There are 100 cents to the Dollar.

	Most foreign currency and traveller's cheques can be exchanged at the bank. However, there are no ATMs on the island so it is advisable to take Australian currency with you when visiting.

What to wear

In Nauru due to the tropical climate light clothing such as shorts, tee shirts and sandals are recommended. Being in the tropics, it is always advisable to have a rain coat handy. A jacket or jumper may be required at night when the temperature drops.

Visas

International visitors to Nauru are required to be in possession of a valid passport and visa to obtain entry into the country. (Australian Citizens are exempt) Visas are issued from Australian Embassies and Consulates around the world.

Health

International visitors to Nauru are advised to have vaccinations before travelling to this area Check with your local doctor or view the CDC web site for further information. Limited medical services are available on the island. Travellers are advised to have medical travel insurance.
