What to wear

In French Polynesia due to the tropical climate light clothing such as shorts, tee shirts and sandals are recommended. Being in the tropics, it is always advisable to have a rain coat handy. A jacket or jumper may be required at night when the temperature drops.


Visas

International visitors to French Polynesia are required to be in possession of a valid passport and may require a visa depending on country of origin. Visas are available from French Embassies and Consulates around the world.


Health

International visitors to French Polynesia are advised to check with your local doctor or view the CDC web site for information as to whether to have vaccinations before travelling to this area.  Medical services are available at medical centres and  hospitals. Travellers are advised to have medical travel insurance.
