| What to wear |
In the Cook Islands due to the tropical climate light clothing such as shorts, tee shirts and sandals are recommended. Being in the tropics, it is always advisable to have a rain coat handy. A jacket or jumper may be required at night when the temperature drops. Be warned, nude and/or topless bathing is not permitted in these islands |
| Visas |
International visitors to the Cook Islands are required to be in possession of a valid passport and proof of onward journey (prepaid) with a stay not exceeding 31 days. Visas for extended (up to six months) stays are required and should be sought upon arrival from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration. Stays of longer than six months need to be approved prior to arrival. |
