Pago Pago is the capital of American Samoa. It is the centre for political and commercial life on the island. The main economic life-blood of the island revolves around tuna fishing and the cannery. This industry employs at least one third of the population and one third is employed by the government.
Businesses operate from 9-00am to 5-00pm Monday to Friday and banks operate from 9-00am to 3-00pm Monday to Friday.
