Port Elizabeth is a major port city in the Eastern province of South Africa. It is situated on Algoa Bay on the shores of the Indian Ocean and has a population of around 300,000. The city's main exports are manganese and iron ore, wool, coal, and citrus fruit. Excellent communications, cheap power, and water combine to create one of the country's busiest manufacturing centres, mainly concerned with the automotive industry.
