East London is a port city in the Eastern province of South Africa. It is situated at the mouth of the Buffalo River along the Indian Ocean and has a population of around 90,000. The city is a terminus of the South African Railways line servicing the Free State province goldfields. There is a considerable fishing industry, and manufactures are diversified.
