Kisumu is a major city in Kenya. It is situated on the north east shore of Lake Victoria in the west of the country and has a population of around 200,000. It is the commercial, industrial, and transportation centre of western Kenya. It is also the chief terminus for the agricultural produce of the Nyanza and Western provinces. It's industries include a brewery and a plant to convert molasses to power alcohol.
