Boke is a city and port in Guinea. It is situated on the Nunez River near the Atlantic coast in the west of the country and has a population of around 40,000. It is the regions chief market centre, dealing in rice, fish, cattle, oranges, and palm oil and kernels. The country's most important bauxite-producing area lies 80 kilometres east north east of Boke. |
