Bujumbura is the capital city of Burundi.  It is situated on Lake Tanganyika in the west of the country and has a population of around 325,000. The city's industry specializes in textiles, leather, paper, chemicals, and agricultural products. Bujumbura also serves as the country's main port. Most of Burundi's foreign trade is shipped between the capital and Kigoma, Tanzania.
